We’ve been following furniture company Stattmann Neue Moebel for a while; the German brand makes one of our favorite entryway storage pieces—the Unit Coat Rack, which makes an appearance in our book Remodelista: The Organized Home. The firm has made it their mission to produce “furniture with a clear design language and clever details, unpretentious and functional, manufactured with high-quality craftsmanship and precision, and marked by a responsible use of ecological materials.” (Music to our ears!)
Recently, Julie reminded me of the versatility, elegant design, and deceptive simplicity of their Wall Shelf. Take a look.
Above: Buy two or 10 Wall Shelves—and configure them in a way that best fits your needs. Looking for a landing station for a tiny entry? Mount just one piece to the wall to hold your keys and sunglasses. Interested in shelves to store your collection of ceramics? Install more in a grid or a row. The Wall Shelf starts at €88. Above: The Wall Shelf is offered in ash or oak wood, shown above in natural. In addition, the ash versions are available in a slew of water-based pigment stains (gray-green, dark blue, rose, and more). Above: The Wall Shelf comes in one of four sets—(clockwise from top left) with two half shelves, with pegs, with one full-size shelf, and with two full-size shelves. Above: The plank and pegs slide into grooves for a perfect fit; no glue or hardware required. Two screws are included for mounting the piece to the wall.
